Damn, it’s been a good year. I’ve faced more challanges this year than the previous. I’ve pushed myself physically & mentally running races and jumping out of a plane at 15,000 ft. I’ve faced demons and overcome obsticles that I never thought I could get past. My faith has been shaken, tested & continuously questioned, but it’s made me stronger. I can honestly say that I love where I’m at in life.

I can’t wait for 2012.

New year’s resolution: start taking this blog more seriously. lol.

I absolutely, positively, love this time of the year. I could go for hours talking about my favorite things about the holidays and how much I love them. Haha. I love the little things that make the bigger picture. It’s in the way the green and red lights twinkle, the way people walk past you bundled up in their coats, the way happy couples walk down the street arm in arm and seeking warmth from each other. Haha. It’s the sound of silver bells and holiday music flooding cars, homes, stores and streets. It’s the smell of pine in the cold air and the smell of nutmeg, cinnamon and sweet warm vanilla that flood bakeries. It’s in the way it feels to cozy up with a mug of hot cocoa with extra marshmallows and your favorite movie.

Like I said, I love the holidays. lol.

Glitter Guide x Spike the Punch

Good morning!

If there’s one thing I can’t resist, it’s a guy with pompadour hair, a flannel shirt, selvedge denim, with worn out boots and a pair of specs. (Insert Tumblr photo with 1346 notes here.)

Haha. I kid. I kid. But really, if there’s anything I can’t resist, it’d be glitter, sparkles & all things multifaceted. It’s probably the reason why The Glitter Guide has been set as my homepage for the past few months. (I came across the site from a link Jeanne of Shop Sweet Things!) And when I saw that they had teamed up with Spike the Punch that featured GG’s traditional color, which also happens to be my favorite color, I couldn’t say no.

Now, I’m a newbie when it comes to statement jewelry, but I think that this hand crafted necklace coated with fine glitter will definitely set the pace. I’m really looking forward to wearing it during the holidays!

SUMMER!

Man, it’s been a good summer so far. haha. Despite not going on any trips or too far out of town, I would say that the summer, thus far, has been really good to me. I’ve been taking it easy, enjoying walking around town and just staying local. I’ve been spending a lot of time with my family and getting to see my little cousin who’s finally warmed up to people. She’s hilarious and extremely smart for her age. She’s only a few months shy of two years old, but she’s got quite the personality. haha.

More than anything, my summer has been about San Francisco’s own, GIANTS. It’s all been about day games in the sun and night games under the stars! I’ve also been training for the San Francisco Giants 10k Race, which benefits Project Open Hand. I’m averaging over 5k every single day and recently did my first trial run for the actual race. My 10k time isn’t the best, I’ll admit that. haha. But my goal is to finish the race. Most girls treat themselves to clothes or a new bag for their birthdays, but for me, finishing this race is my gift to myself. It’s the gift of knowing that I can achieve anything if I push myself and if I want it enough. My race is in 11 days. I’m nervous and excited all at the same time, but this is what I’ve prepared myself for. I can do this. I’ve got this!

Summer!

I’m baaaaack! hahahaha. I’ve gotten really lazy with this. I’m not even gonna lie. LOL. I’ve made more updates on my Tumblr than I have here. My apologies. (;

Anyway, what’s new? Hope you gals/guys are enjoying your summer so far. The weather’s been a bit wishy washy here in the East Bay, but I’ve got to say that it’s probably one of the best summers! It’s one of those that I wish would last forever. hahaha. A lot’s been going on and things are finally starting to settle. I picked up a film camera last month! I can’t wait to take it to the Giant’s game this Saturday! It’s a Nikon EM and I’m having so much fun with it! It’s nice to get back to the roots of photography. With only 24 exposures, I’ve really got to be selective with my shots. Honestly, that’s something I really like. (; I’ll be posting most of those photos here, so check back when you can!

Honestly, I’m surprised you all keep coming back. hahaha. But I do thank you for visiting. My laptop is pretty much shot to shit right now and I’m in the middle of trying to save up to upgrade le ol’ MacBook. She’s been faithful up until a few months ago. I think I may have to put her down soon.

Also, I’m working on getting a new cameraaaa! I was out at a gig a few months ago and got to play with a 60D. I fell in love and I’ve been grinding to save up since.

Yo, if anyone wants to help me out, I will take donations. Kidding. But I may hold a bakesale. LMFAO.
